Your PERFECT top

Xhilaration High-necks are in this summer! Benefiting all sizes and ages, high - neck tops are perfect for you! You can feel confident whether you are lounging, playing volleyball or chasing around the kids. High-necks can also be worn as a shirt on a sunny day. You can be stylish and comfortable in and out of the water but, make sure to lather on your sunscreen to avoid weird tan lines! I give the one in this photo "two thumbs up" because it is white, crochet and a high neck...under $20! Doesn't my friend look great in this top?

Time to get your red, white and blue

Silver Glen Springs, FL It's always important to honor the Americans who serve/served in our country's armed forces. Show your support, dedication and thanks with patriotic expressions to all of our military and country. You can mix match or decorate a bikini top without spending a lot of money like I did in this photo. The Miami-based brand Luli Fama, known for it's bright and bold swimwear, came out with red, white and blue bikinis if you want to check them out! You can wear it for Memorial Day, 4th of July and other events/holidays. 'Merica!

Vinegar for swimwear???

Raisins Yes! There are many swimsuits and cover ups that have been dyed for the tie-dye or ombré craze. Be careful because they may fade and bleed.  I remember tie-dying in the back yard when I was younger. I disliked the scent of vinegar but it definitely preserved the color. Most brands preserve the color before selling them but it doesn't hurt to be on the safe side. I love the Raisins tie-d ye bikini bottom in this photo so, I wouldn't want it's beauty to ever fade. Try soaking your garments in COLD water with vinegar for about 5 minutes. Then, wash it separately with laundry detergent and cold water. HOT water makes the colors bleed. Hope this helps!

Warning: This may shock you!

Becca by Rebecca Virtue One pieces are back and better than ever. They are naturally flattering and super slimming. The right pattern/design can enhance or downplay areas, while holding everything in.  Teenagers, mothers and women of all ages are following the trend. And, you don't even have to be part of the skinny b's club. I’ve seen the Becca one-piece in this photo on all sizes and it looks good! It's also available in black, white and blue. It's a "plunge" that is tastefully see-through with a low back. Some brands cover less ( like Billabong, L*Space, Ale and Vitamin A ) and some cover more. Wear one with shorts and you'll have a body suit too.  What's the harm in trying some on? I bet you'll get many compliments. Shop for one piece swimwear at Surfshop (click here)

Blessed with a big bust? You'll want to read this.

Jupiter, FL A big bust can be a blessing yet a curse. When you know you need extra support, look for the right top first. You'll want to search for a halter top with thick straps or bra style. It's also good to have underwire and/or racer-back. Brands that I like that have DD and higher are Luli Fama, Becca by Rebecca Virtue (and Becca Etc.), Profile Blush by Gottex, Sunsets, Swim Systems and Tommy Bahama. Don't ever forget that you are big-boobed and awesome!

Have fun!

On this day, back in 1921, my Grammie was born. She probably never knew what a positive difference she would make nearly 100 years later.  She is an important part of my swimwear inspiration. She always said “You kids have fun while you're young…the golden years are rusty!” Sayings like that have led me to become the person I am. Having fun is an essential step in feeling confident in your swimwear. Remember that "young" is a state of mind and enjoy each beautiful day. Words cannot describe how awesome she was. It’s an honor to hear that I am like her but the truth is...I’m mostly happy to see her in my family and friends as well. RIP to all we have loved and lost!
