Vitamin Sea
We all need some Vitamin Sea, literally. Without the ocean and marine life, we cannot survive. Why not head to the beach in a tank that supports the sea? I wore the tank I’m sporting in the above photos to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It happens to be the “shark bite capital of the world” where the locals, tourists and I embrace sharks. It’s important to understand and appreciate nature in all it’s capacities.

Being mindful about what we purchase is a simple, ethical step to help the environment. I really love sharks. Just the other day, I ordered my teacup Pomeranian, Foxy, a shark costume online from a big company. Foxy weighs 4 pounds and I got her the extra-small shark costume. It arrived in a plastic bag bigger than my desk and inside was another plastic bag plus unnecessary plastic “stuffing.” For the tiniest dog costume ever? Going out to people all over the world? So much waste of ocean-life-killing plastic. There wasn’t even a nice note inside either. When my Vitamin Sea package arrived, that was another story and made me smile big.

Vitamin Sea Clothing was created by a fellow Floridian named Becca. Becca wrote me a very nice note and wrapped my tank top up in packaging that was smaller than Foxy! The packaging was also Earth-friendly; meaning it was made from recycled materials, it is biodegradable and it was made from renewable resources.  My tank top, the packaging, her note and lovely message on her card was much appreciated.
Her art is used to spread happiness and a portion of the sales go to environmental charities. Her shop, like her art, is all things ethical and tropical! Becca donates to the Ocean Foundation and the Rainforest Foundation. Vitamin Sea's clothing represents mermaids, sharks, pineapples and more. There are accessories and men's clothing as well. I chose the Shark Tooth Tank because I like the design and color but also because the Ocean Foundation helps save marine life. Sharks really need more love and protection. They are an important part of the ecosystem and are very interesting creatures. The tank top is super soft and I absolutely love how the inside says "Put this on and go conquer the world."
