Just Bones Boardwear™ and Wakesurf Orlando

How's this for some swimwear inspiration? I decided to try wakesurfing for the first time. If it requires a bikini, my answer is always yes! I wore my Just Bones Boardwear™ high-neck bikini top with moderate coverage bottoms. I knew I wouldn't have to worry about adjusting my swimsuit while trying this fun water sport for the first time. I've wakeboarded and I've surfed but, luckily we do not need to know how to do either to get started.

I met up with Tarzan from Wakesurf Orlando at Lake Conway. I spotted his 2017 Malibu boat right away. He was very accommodating and easy going. When planning, he worked around my schedule and was willing to meet me early one Saturday morning. I was given some tips and literally jumped in. I didn't get up right away and there were times I felt like giving up. It's like wakeboarding except your feet are not attached to board and the board slipped away from me. It's also hard to stand up on a board when laying in the water so, there were a few times I thought maybe I should try laying on the board like a surfer. I had to have my heels on the board, knees bent, arms straight and just stand up. Tarzan kept reminding me in a positive way. He provided me with feedback of how to improve; with a smile saying "You got this Paige." He also was very smart to think of giving me a more buoyant life jacket. That way I could float and pop out of the water more easily. All the lake water I drank in the beginning was worth it when I finally got up. I'm so glad I kept trying because once I did it, I kept doing it and boy did it feel great! My best advice to anyone trying this for the first time- pull the board under you and just stand up. Once up, it's easy to be pulled by the boat while holding onto the rope. I'm used to holding onto the rope like a wakeboarder, however, I had to adjust my physical and mental mindset to let go. I had to stand up on my own, let the rope slack, get out of the wake and finally...let go of the rope. Now, that was amazing!!

I was fortunate enough to have a private lesson with Tarzan. It was relaxed and I had a real chance to practice repeatedly. He got me up, got me to let go of the rope and got me excited to do more (all in one hour.) I really enjoyed his kindness, knowledge and positive motivation. I'm looking forward to trying it again. I'll be putting on the same bikini and going to the same teacher because it was perfect. And, I learned to never give up!

My Oasis...the Inflatable Paddle Board by Body Glove!

Body Glove Paddle Board by Surf 9 LLC / Just Bones Boardwear TM Bikini / Just A Blink Photography by Joleen What is your favorite way to start the day? For me, there couldn't be anything better than to wake up early and go paddle boarding with my dog. A typical visit to the Orlando Surf Expo made my dreams come true when I walked away with an inflatable paddle board and surf board by Body Glove. That's right, I said "inflatable!" I have a small 2-seater and I can easily fit them in the trunk or passenger seat. Then, I can inflate them when I get to my location. Absolutely perfect! My boards arrived at my home in boxes with a guide book and all the necessary accessories (see photos below.) I always borrow, rent or share boards but I have never actually owned one so, to me this was like Christmas morning! Everything was labeled and easy to understand. It all fits nicely in bags with handles and straps to carry it all around. The boards roll up

BEST. SWIMSUIT. EVER.

Petflair Swimsuit & Photography by Lety Remior When one of my friends told me he had heard about a company that let's you put a picture of your dog on your swimsuit (and knew it would be right up my alley of course), I went straight to my lap top and began searching for it. It didn't take long as the crowd-funding buzz had started to make it's way around the internet. I found the website and had a look for myself. This fabulous company is from Australia and called Petflair. Am I the only one who goes straight to the "about us" section or do you do that too? It helped me to see that this was a company I wanted to support because not only is it a great story with a unique idea but Petflair donates 25% of it's profits to Pound Paws (a charity for abandoned pets.) I decided I needed to find out more about the making of swimsuits with our pets. These babies are $99, which is reasonable, especially for a customized suit with your dog! However,

Embrace Diversity

It's time to embrace others... and embrace who you are. We are all different so, we shouldn't be expected to wear the same style swimsuits. You should pick out swimwear that makes you happy and comfortable. Strong women support each other and we shouldn't judge each other by what's on the outside. If you got it, flaunt it. If you want to cover something up, go for it. Show off your best asset (and don't say you don't have one because you do!) There are many styles to chose from: bra-tops, triangle tops, tankinis, swim skirts, swim shorts, cheeky, etc. Focus on your concerns, enhance your good qualities and keep a positive body image. I'd like to thank my beautiful family for taking these photos with me and for being wonderful, supportive women. Live a Luminous Life

Luminous Sol Swimwear The logo is luminous. The bikinis are luminous. The vibes are luminous. The owner has the most wonderful, positive energy about her and her kindness shines bright. You too can let your light shine with this new, radiant swimwear brand called Luminous Sol. I'm wearing the Ella top in a blush palm print that reverses to a lovely lilac color. Both are sensational colors on the skin! When you reverse the suit to the lilac side, the strings are still the pink palm print and it looks like heaven together. The fit and feel is excellent with an adjustable lace-up back. One of the things I loved most about it is that there was no padding, which made it look and feel smooth (along with a quick dry-time.) We are going to give away the sliding-triangle Anya top in the above sunset photo to one lucky winner on Instagram so, be sure to follow us, @foxyandpaige and @luminoussolswimwear, to be entered into the drawing . I just love my bottoms because they ar

Warning: This may shock you!

Becca by Rebecca Virtue One pieces are back and better than ever. They are naturally flattering and super slimming. The right pattern/design can enhance or downplay areas, while holding everything in.  Teenagers, mothers and women of all ages are following the trend. And, you don't even have to be part of the skinny b's club. I’ve seen the Becca one-piece in this photo on all sizes and it looks good! It's also available in black, white and blue. It's a "plunge" that is tastefully see-through with a low back. Some brands cover less ( like Billabong, L*Space, Ale and Vitamin A ) and some cover more. Wear one with shorts and you'll have a body suit too.  What's the harm in trying some on? I bet you'll get many compliments. Shop for one piece swimwear at Surfshop (click here)
