Dana Lou Fit uses fabric scraps in
future products and they do not throw anything away. Most of the fabrics
are produced in an eco-friendly way, including not using dying
techniques that use water and cause water pollution. You can purchase leggings made with a printed fabric from an
incredible photo Tristine Davis took of a coral reef and a portion of the sales
are donated to reef/ocean conservation.
All of Koru's swimwear is made from ECONYL, a recycled nylon yarn. This
special fabric is made from discarded fishing nets pulled out of our
precious ocean. Not only does Koru use fabric from
recycled plastic but it also gives back as member of the 1% for the
Planet Organization.
Lagoa Swimwear donates 10% of profits to ocean conservation and the Surfrider
Foundation. You will also receive your swimsuits in eco-friendly
packaging; which is recyclable, recycled, biodegradable, reusable and
renewable.
Luminous Sol Swimwear is made of recycled polyamide. The fabric is made from fishnets pulled out of the ocean that
were later turned into fibers and then combined with lycra for a fabulous
swimsuit. We made the "USA Love List" for showcasing this gorgeous, eco-friendly swimwear made in the U.S.A.
It's probably hard to believe but, the cute Barebeach swimsuit I am
wearing is made of plastic bottles. The soft, high-quality, fabric is a
combination of 82% recycled polyester and 18% spandex made by a company
called Repreve. Barebeach also sends the bikini in an eco-friendly package, called
ECOenclose, that can be recycled and is made of recycled materials.
