Saltwater Hippie - The Flip Flop Company - Body Glove Surfboard - Native Eyewear

As I stood there looking at the foggy, cold water here in Florida, I couldn't help but think about the obvious climate change and extreme weather that has been affecting the world. I promote environmentally friendly brands for this very reason. I just want to swim in the saltwater every day and I've been really hoping to try out my new inflatable surfboard from Body Glove. Pollution of all kinds, all over the planet is the main cause of climate change and we all need to be doing something about it to literally save the world. And then it hit me, I'm such a hippie. I have long hair, prefer nature, I'm laid back, I enjoy music and I just want world peace. Would you believe I used to go around planting trees and worked on protecting sea-turtles in 4-H when I was younger? It's my love for the ocean that makes me want to save the earth and turned me into an official "Saltwater Hippie," as my new shirt says.

Saltwater Hippie is a super chill brand that I discovered at Bikini Company and I proudly wear my shirt around our salty town. The Saltwater Hippie crew hopes to see you "somewhere in the sand" and they represent a peaceful vibe like no other. If you love the beach, boards and boats then Saltwater Hippie is the life-style company for you. They have clothing for men, women and children. You can also get all your beach essentials such as blankets, hats and the up-and-coming SubSafe. They own a beach bar in Florida with life music, too. I discovered on their website that they have special customized bracelets from Simbi®. These clay bracelets are vegan and help to provide sustainable jobs to workers of the Aqua Haiti Foundation. With the recent arctic-like temperatures in America, you may need a hand-stitched beanie made right here in the U.S.A. by Saltwater Hippie. One of the things I love the most about this company is that they host monthly beach clean-ups. Isn't that great?

The classic white flip flops I'm wearing are made ethically of natural rubber from the Flip Flop Company in Australia. There are no plastic or oil based products (like most flip flops out there.) They are better for you and better for the environment. The creators love to travel and hope the wonderful places they've been to can continue to be enjoyed as they were meant to be. This is an opportunity for you to support companies that are making good decisions to save the planet and you can go wander the planet in sustainable fashion with colorfully renewable thongs for men and women. These awesome flip flops are comfortable and durable. They come delivered in natural, recyclable packing with a wonderful message printed on the outside- Get ready for a new adventure.

I'm also sporting my newest style of eco friendly Native Eyewear sunglasses. They are unisex and called the El Jefe'. These purple polarized lenses are best for my light blue eyes. I love how the frames are light-weight but sturdy due to careful construction of renewable resources. With a lifetime warranty, you can send them back if anything happens to them and this is good way to keep trash out of our landfills. Find out more about this sustainable sunglasses brand in my previous posts about Native Eyewear and get yours at Bikini Company!

As Anna Lappe was quoted: Every time you make a purchase, you are casting a vote for the kind of world you want. If you love the ocean and people as much as me then you are officially a Saltwater Hippie, too! Take it from this former science teacher turned ECO brand warming is real. The Polar Vortex, Category 5 Hurricanes and our heated up ocean rising to new levels is no joke. Please do your part to help "save the world" and let's all take steps to keep moving forward with a smile on our face!

My Oasis...the Inflatable Paddle Board by Body Glove!

Body Glove Paddle Board by Surf 9 LLC / Just Bones Boardwear TM Bikini / Just A Blink Photography by Joleen What is your favorite way to start the day? For me, there couldn't be anything better than to wake up early and go paddle boarding with my dog. A typical visit to the Orlando Surf Expo made my dreams come true when I walked away with an inflatable paddle board and surf board by Body Glove. That's right, I said "inflatable!" I have a small 2-seater and I can easily fit them in the trunk or passenger seat. Then, I can inflate them when I get to my location. Absolutely perfect! My boards arrived at my home in boxes with a guide book and all the necessary accessories (see photos below.) I always borrow, rent or share boards but I have never actually owned one so, to me this was like Christmas morning! Everything was labeled and easy to understand. It all fits nicely in bags with handles and straps to carry it all around. The boards roll up

Petflair Swimsuit & Photography by Lety Remior When one of my friends told me he had heard about a company that let's you put a picture of your dog on your swimsuit (and knew it would be right up my alley of course), I went straight to my lap top and began searching for it. It didn't take long as the crowd-funding buzz had started to make it's way around the internet. I found the website and had a look for myself. This fabulous company is from Australia and called Petflair. Am I the only one who goes straight to the "about us" section or do you do that too? It helped me to see that this was a company I wanted to support because not only is it a great story with a unique idea but Petflair donates 25% of it's profits to Pound Paws (a charity for abandoned pets.) I decided I needed to find out more about the making of swimsuits with our pets. These babies are $99, which is reasonable, especially for a customized suit with your dog! However,

Embrace Diversity

It's time to embrace others... and embrace who you are. We are all different so, we shouldn't be expected to wear the same style swimsuits. You should pick out swimwear that makes you happy and comfortable. Strong women support each other and we shouldn't judge each other by what's on the outside. If you got it, flaunt it. If you want to cover something up, go for it. Show off your best asset (and don't say you don't have one because you do!) There are many styles to chose from: bra-tops, triangle tops, tankinis, swim skirts, swim shorts, cheeky, etc. Focus on your concerns, enhance your good qualities and keep a positive body image. I'd like to thank my beautiful family for taking these photos with me and for being wonderful, supportive women. Live a Luminous Life

Luminous Sol Swimwear The logo is luminous. The bikinis are luminous. The vibes are luminous. The owner has the most wonderful, positive energy about her and her kindness shines bright. You too can let your light shine with this new, radiant swimwear brand called Luminous Sol. I'm wearing the Ella top in a blush palm print that reverses to a lovely lilac color. Both are sensational colors on the skin! When you reverse the suit to the lilac side, the strings are still the pink palm print and it looks like heaven together. The fit and feel is excellent with an adjustable lace-up back. One of the things I loved most about it is that there was no padding, which made it look and feel smooth (along with a quick dry-time.) We are going to give away the sliding-triangle Anya top in the above sunset photo to one lucky winner on Instagram so, be sure to follow us, @foxyandpaige and @luminoussolswimwear, to be entered into the drawing . I just love my bottoms because they ar

Warning: This may shock you!

Becca by Rebecca Virtue One pieces are back and better than ever. They are naturally flattering and super slimming. The right pattern/design can enhance or downplay areas, while holding everything in.  Teenagers, mothers and women of all ages are following the trend. And, you don't even have to be part of the skinny b's club. I’ve seen the Becca one-piece in this photo on all sizes and it looks good! It's also available in black, white and blue. It's a "plunge" that is tastefully see-through with a low back. Some brands cover less ( like Billabong, L*Space, Ale and Vitamin A ) and some cover more. Wear one with shorts and you'll have a body suit too.  What's the harm in trying some on? I bet you'll get many compliments. Shop for one piece swimwear at Surfshop (click here)
